We have a new baby in the house, so the one time a month that I was updating this blog, is now going to be once every two months..lol

As always, you can check us out on our blogs, Alissa Sheley, and Brandon Sheley.

and I’ve started working on a youtube page to show off the baby to family. I may also add some tutorials of what I do online with vBulletin and Twitter as well.

Doing a little work on the Sheley blog

As you may have noticed, I’ve been doing a little work on this blog. I’ve changed the style to an extra one I had, and moved some of the widgets around.

I’ve been pretty busy around here getting ready for the baby. Work has been going along great, the forum has a contest so it’s going along good as well. Life is Good! J

Just wanted to post a small update on this page, you can find the Alissa Sheley & Brandon Sheley blogs in their usual places, and we have the baby blog in place but he’ll soon have a name, so I’ll make him his own subdomain at that point.

Well I’ve disabled the auto feeds from the 3 blogs.

You can find the blogs at Brandon.Sheley.org, Alissa.Sheley.org and the Baby.Sheley.org blog at their URL’s

The only thing we may use this url for is maybe family pictures were it’s not just about Alissa, the baby or myself.. I’m not really sure yet. So if you haven’t checked out our blog yet, follow those links and we’ll see ya there.

Disabling the Twitter post for now

Our Free Wordpress Styles

Up until recently, I would just post all our free wordpress styles on the vBulletinSetup Blog. That worked for a while, but now we have more style then really look good on one page describing each style. So with this new WPMU we can make as many sub domains as I need for wordpress demo’s.

I still have some work to do on the display blog, and 4 or 5 styles that need uploaded and setup. I’m also looking to purchase more wordpress styles and will continue to share them for free.

Redoing my Free Wordpress Styles Demo

Some of you may have seen our Free Wordpress Styles page over at vBSetup. Well, I’ve always had an issue with showing live demo’s of the styles without having to install a hundered instances of wordpress on my server. With WPMU I can just make seperate sub-domains for each demo using wildcards. If I had cPanel or some sever managment app like that, it wouldn’t be so bad. I’m using HCSpear I think is the name, it’s great but not as newbie friendly. Well long story short… I’m going to post each style on “WordPress Styles” and each demo will be like wpstyle1.sheley.org wpstyle2.sheley.org etc…

With this brings a question, all the current wp styles are stored on the vbsetup side of the server.. Should I start hosting the download zip on the sheley.org side? I think I probably will and redirect the old links to the new ones.

Styles and Images are working

Yesterday after talking with my host, I found out that the hotlink protection was what was messing up all the buttons and images on our blogs.. I added the rss feeds of our blogs, right now I have it set to three, once Alissa gets a few more post out, maybe I’ll jump that to 5 or 7.

I’m still not sure what I’ll really do for this main blog, other then post site updates.

I started another wpmu site to see if anyone else wanted their own blog but didn’t want to mess with the hosting. It’s located at Oh.vc Blogs.. Check it out

I mentioned in my last post that I was thinking about spliting up this url so Alissa would have a place she could rant or blog about something and not have to have it tied back to her prefessional blogs.. So I split my blog up “sheley.org” up into a url for her and one for me

Big things happening!

Hey everyone, how have you all been?Okay, this is going to be a short list type post, I just don’t have time to really go into detail right now,

graduation is tonight for my CCNA networking class at KAW Area tech school.
Our house is for sale, we’ve officially been on the market 3 days, and tomorrow we have our 3rd showing, and one of those, they came back for a 2nd viewing.
We our working on Transforming Topeka for a better community, I’ll get into that more later.
I’m going to be breaking this blog into subdomain, making Brandon.Sheley.org and Alissa.Sheley.org for Alissa if she ever wants to rant or blog about something that wouldn’t go on her business blog.
We’ve driven by about 70 houses and I think this sunday we are going to check out one in a Great area, across the street from a nice park.
