If only he knew that 3 years Lester and would release Threadripper 2 which has 32 cores and 64 threads, on one cpu

  8. When Linus media group goes out of business and they have to liquidate their assets, that will be a day to remember.

  9. That computer is probably more valuable than your child.

  10. Bobcat665 says:

Oh, hey! I have that exact same mouse pad.

  11. Noorquacker says:

Wouldn't it be called transcoding instead of rendering? Or does Sorenson Squeeze render Premiere projects directly?

  12. 100 human brains in a room. What do you get?

  13. John McKeon says:

Linus, how do you keep a baby occupied while working on computers? At that age, my sister would have been crying throughout the whole video. It takes tallent to parent and work on thousands of dollars worth of hardware simultaneously.

  14. hackermub says:

9:22 how many chrome tabs did you open?

  15. Can anyone tell me the model of that asus board? My gaming rig has a Xeon e5 2680 v3 and with that board I could just buy a second of the same processor and maybe run sli with a second gpu as well. But meh honestly one gpu is sufficient.
Edit: found it on Newegg for $450 ouch. Idk if I’ll get enough value per dollar just to add a second of the same processor, seeing that the processor itself is $200-$250 on eBay. I could probably do more with basically $700

  16. I was just thinking Linus needs a haircut, then at 2:10 he got one. LOL

  17. Jared Larson says:

    Baby's like "I don't care about 12 cores"

  18. Bruce Lee says:

my laptop is faster than this computer but this was like 3 years ago

  19. Bruh right now this is just a Threadripper lmao

  20. Blue Sky says:

What is the purpose of making this? Who will have this machine? Professionals use Render Farms. Servers have already far more cores than that. Just heading to useless configurations IMPO.

    Link to part 1?

  23. LSky says:

10:25 – "So that is what it looks like to see 72 THREADS RIPPING through Cinebench." Wouldn't it be funny if this video is where some AMD employee got the idea for the "Threadripper" name?

  24. DarkPortal says:

    threadripper: hello 👁️👄👁️
