Simple Auto Wool Farm and Shear Sorter | Minecraft [STILL works]

November 19, 2018 by 26 Comments

We made a simple auto wool farm and shear sorter on our twitch stream. They both use cool game tricks to make them work. Auto wool farm can even work when no one is online at spawn. More simple farms: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-5egZTw99_7ml5khqKSHJ8Xp30Hz-dl9

New Shear sorting and also simple auto wool farm for survival!
    More simple farms: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-5egZTw99_7ml5khqKSHJ8Xp30Hz-dl9

  2. definitely gonna use this on my 1.14 survival world

  3. hans müller says:

Why don't you cram a hopper minecart into the grass block the sheep are standing on? That way you don't need the water and also can have one additional grass black beside the block that get's "eaten", because you can put the hopper between the "eating-block" and the regrow-layer below.

  4. Zedoh says:

How. Sad how you only have 38k. Deserve like 3 mil I swear

  5. alwayswinnen says:

If you wanted to have 1 more grass block in the farm, you could put a hopper minecarts inside a grass block where the wool collecting hopper currently is, then have a hopper beneath that grass block to collect from the hopper minecart. It would function the same as the hopper while adding 1 more grass block to be able to spread to the dirt.

  6. tohopes says:

    Those lanterns look nice.

  7. Birmioh says:

That's great the speed to regen the dirt! Well played Rays, I wish you were french to understand all the mecanics you find.

  8. when in these worlds filed with barrier blocks and you switch to a barrier block in your inventory, how much does your computer lag.

  9. You can also auto sort armour with armour stands and tools using mobs to then place these in a furnace to sort them out even further.

And semiautosort music discs because you need a player to click

  10. Arya Putra says:

can it works on 1.12.2? please answer

  11. More Girl says:

Can you tell shears from flint&steel?

  12. Mushushu says:

Can you sort flint and steel from shears in 1.14?

  13. CyberZeta says:

Talking about 1.14 i would like to see when holding a lantern it ill light up the area around the player.

  14. phflack says:

It seems the non-stackable item sorter would group the sheers with flint and steel
The sort everything design sorts flint and steel by attempting to dispense it, but being unable to – same as your sheer sorter
I think the only way to differentiate between the two would be to set a block on fire, but would end up losing durability and would not be good for using as memory in computers

  15. Chris Walker says:

    But is it infinitely automatic?

  16. JracoMeter says:

I like the new shear feature with dispensers. I hope they add more unique features. One feature I would be interested in seeing is allowing the pickaxe to break blocks when in use by a dispenser.

  18. Imagine Alot says:

what if you bonemeal the grass block beside the sheep ?

  19. FusselTeddy says:

Won't Shears get sorted in the same chest as the Flint & Steel? That would make your contaption useless, if we would put it after Gavin's contraption 🤔

  20. infra 84 says:

Now It doesn't work in the spawnchunks, no?

  21. Weta says:

Gavin's sorter is no longer reliable.
