Cyber Career Forum is a series where members of the cybersecurity community answer common questions from their peers! This week, CompTIA Chief Technology Evangelist James Stanger answers one of the community’s questions: How will the sysadmin role change as cloud infrastructure becomes more popular? James talks about the state of the sysadmin as we know it, and how it’s currently experiencing a shift much like the one that happened in the 1990s. If you have a question you’d like answered in a future Cyber Career Forum episode, be sure to comment down below!

  1. _myth5 media says:

Are we not moving into dangerous territory when everyone's data, including the government, will be in the hands of only three major companies (AZURE -Microsoft, AWS -Amazon, GCP -Google)?

What's next Facebook Cloud? Too much control in a few hands.

  2. do you recommend getting the Microsoft Exam 70-740 or Microsoft Exam 70-740 certs before the exams expire Jan 31, 2021? Two of the classes at my school this fall may be offering them if the instructor doesn't change the course content.
