Cyber Weapons Lab, Episode 165

The Pi-hole is a very commonly used Raspberry Pi project aimed at blocking ads on your home network, but it also has the convenient ability to blacklist domain names. While blacklists are not perfect, they can add an extra layer of security to your home, and they are particularity good at helping protect the less tech-savvy. On this episode of Cyber Weapons Lab, we’ll show you how it’s done and what it means to use one.

  23. Good for blocking network wide. I use a windows computer, so I just add blacklisted names to the hosts file on the computer that I use, and point them to the local loopback address ( Unfortunately, there are a growing number of websites that complain that you are using an ad blocker, and to disable it, to view the site. I also find that sponsored links on google search no longer work if you block some of the google ad services (no great loss to me, but maybe to some people).

  30. Hey guys i really need help. Ive been dealing with this for 3 months. I haven’t had any luck. Someone has put a digital tracker on my home network. Some kind of digital auto logging tracker. My MacBook crashed my asus laptop crashed and in the last month I bought 2 computers just so i could build a flash drive to save my others. Within a day both of those computers have been breached. I’m on my second one right now and i shut it down quick enough. Ill pay $$$$$$$. This isn’t a joke and i would not be making this message. I’m sorry to spam you guys by putting this on so many videos. I really need help though. Contact my YouTube and ill give a email or phone number. I would be so grateful. I’m just trying to help society out like you guys. Giving knowledge big corporations and others don’t like.
