About the 6TB external hard drive

Listings for 6TB external hard drives from the Disk & SSD Tracker, grouped by nominal size: new, used and recertified drives from every brand. Prices here are for the whole drive; the per-TB figure is the price divided by 6.

External drives are often cheaper per TB than the same drive sold bare, which is why people "shuck" them: take the drive out of the enclosure and use it internally. That can void the warranty.
Some shucked drives need the 3.3V pin taped over before they spin up on certain power supplies.
