8 Price & Deal Trackers for Homelab & PC Hardware

Every price tracker on the site, in one place. Each one watches a specific hardware category and ranks listings by the metric that actually matters, $/TB, $/GB, $/port, whatever makes an apples-to-apples comparison possible, so you can find the best deal without doing the math yourself. One tracker (Disk & SSD) pulls live data automatically; the rest are catalogs I check and update by hand, see the FAQ below for which is which.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are these prices updated?

It varies by tracker. The Disk & SSD tracker pulls live listing data and refreshes automatically every few hours. The rest, SFF, RAM, GPU, NAS, Server, Switch, and Solar, are catalogs I check and update by hand on a periodic basis rather than a continuous live feed. Each tracker's card below and its own page are upfront about which kind it is.

Where does the pricing data come from?

The Disk & SSD tracker pulls live listings from a real-time pricing API covering multiple marketplaces. The other trackers are hand-researched catalogs I periodically re-check against real listings and retailer pricing myself. Each tracker's page explains its specific sources and methodology in more detail.

What makes the Solar Panel Tracker different from the other catalogs?

Besides being a periodically hand-checked catalog like most of the other trackers, Solar also includes benchmarks for professional installation costs, since installers quote whole systems rather than individual SKUs. None of the other trackers need that since they're all DIY/self-install hardware.

Which tracker should I start with?

Whichever matches what you're actually shopping for. Building or upgrading a homelab node points toward the SFF Proxmox Nodes or RAM trackers; adding storage points toward Disk & SSD or NAS Enclosure; running local LLMs points toward the AI GPU tracker; and anything networking-heavy points toward the Network Switch tracker.
