About the Tesla P40
The Tesla P40 is the budget route to 24GB of VRAM. It's an older Pascal datacenter card with no fans and no display outputs: it relies on server airflow, so in a desktop it needs an aftermarket fan or shroud. It takes an 8-pin CPU (EPS) power connector, not a regular PCIe one. Its FP16 performance is weak, so it's slower than newer cards for inference, but the VRAM per dollar is hard to beat.

Questions
- What is a good price for a Tesla P40?
- Based on 19 price points from 13 eBay listings tracked since Oct 2026, the typical price is about $275, and most listings fall between $272 and $285. Anything well under the typical price is a good deal, as long as the condition and seller feedback check out.
- What is the lowest price you have tracked for a Tesla P40?
- The lowest we have logged is $250 on Oct 12, 2026. Listings sold for parts, as-is or untested, and extreme outliers are left out so one odd listing doesn't set the record.
- Where do these prices come from?
- Every time the AI GPU Price Tracker refreshes (every few hours) it logs each matching eBay listing to this site's own price history database. This page summarizes that history. It's our own data, not copied from another site, and the listing itself is always the final word on price and condition.
